Located in Branson, Missouri the opportunities to chase and find ideal water flows and conditions is all within a reasonable drive, flexibility is key and sets Fly’s and Guides apart from the competition.
Each trip is customized to cater to the respective angler’s ability level and desires. Novice anglers can request their trip be tailored as an on-water lesson. These trips will focus on teaching casting mechanics, safe wading techniques, basic fly selection, and how to read the water.
This type of trip is the perfect way to minimize the learning curve for beginners. And, of course, you will have ample opportunities to catch trout.

Guiding Philosophy
My business revolves around customer satisfaction. Everyone who experiences a great day on the water with me is likely to pursue fly fishing at a higher level. It is very gratifying to witness the transformation of a fledgling angler as they become more proficient with a fly rod.
The bottom-line is: enjoyment is the primary objective of each outing. A guide trip with FlysandGuides.com revolves around catching as many fish as possible, while always keeping learning objectives in mind. We place an emphasis on proficient casting, but our approach is laid-back.
A guide trip with us will greatly enhance the fly fishing knowledge of beginners and accomplished anglers alike.

You will catch fish on a guide trip with FlysandGuides.com. We don’t need a hyped-up guarantee because getting “skunked” is not an option. It is also our goal to help every client become a better caster and a more proficient angler.

100% Catch and Release
We believe fly fishing is the best way we have of understanding nature without destroying her. Thus, we owe it to the fish to conserve them and for this reason we practice catch and release on our trips.
A 50% check deposit is required and due upon booking. Cancellations within 14 days of bookings are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled.
FlysandGuides.com guide service offers one, two, and three person trips. We also feature half-day options.
All fly fishing guide rates include flies, drinks, equipment (if needed) and the use of a boat. Lunch is provided on full-day excursions for an additional $50. We meet our clients in the morning at the Fly Shop when water flows allow and drop them off after the day of fishing.
We will provide transportation to and from the river. Please feel free to ask about group trips and custom outings. Float trips are available at no extra cost.
Night Fishing on the White River
Night trips are 4-5 hours in duration and begin one hour after the water shuts down at Bull Shoals Dam.
Outings typically start an hour after dark but are dependent on the water generation.
We prefer to take skilled anglers to keep the trip more productive so casting a fly rod is a must.
Many nights 7 and 8 weight rods are common practice when moving large streamers and mouse patterns.
If you can really control the cast and shoot line you will have a better trip, then tangling all night.
We don’t use glow in the dark strike indicators.
It’s all by feel, swinging streamers and slow stripping mouse patterns.
Communication with your guide is extremely important as the ever changing forecast for generation can change and with that makes 2 person trips at night more difficult.
